Cornwall’s Christmas light trail takes to the skies at 60mph

The Eden Project’s festive illuminations will be viewed from 96 metres in the air as Hangloose Adventure’s Night Flights return this November.

Christmas lights are getting an adrenaline-fuelled twist in Cornwall, as Hangloose Adventure brings back its Night Flights at the Eden Project from 20 November. Described as the UK’s only in-air Christmas light trail, the experience gives visitors the chance to soar above the Eden Project’s illuminated biomes, flying along the 660-metre Skywire at speeds of up to 60mph.

Reaching heights of 96 metres, Night Flights offer a different perspective on the site's festive displays, combining seasonal sparkle with an exhilarating zip-line adventure. More than 500 visitors took to the skies during last year's event, and the experience returns on selected evenings until 2 January 2027, with additional dates available over the Christmas period.

Guests can fly solo or side by side, making it an option for couples, families and groups seeking something different from a traditional Christmas light trail. After landing, visitors can warm up with a complimentary hot chocolate, while friends and family can watch from designated viewing areas.

“It’s not every day you get to see the Eden Project from 96 metres in the air, and we’re really looking forward to kicking off the Christmas festivities and welcoming visitors back to the skies.”

How to book Night Flights at the Eden Project

Night Flights take place at Hangloose Adventure, Eden Project, Cornwall, PL24 2SG, from 20 November 2026 to 2 January 2027.

Dates: Friday to Sunday, with additional opening days over Christmas. Closed on New Year's Day.
Times: 5pm–7.30pm, extending to 8pm from 27 December.
Tickets: £38.67 per person or two tickets for £60.
Flight details: 660-metre zip line reaching heights of 96 metres and speeds of up to 60mph.
Minimum age: Eight years.
